The news sent shock waves of suicide, British fashion designer Alexander McQueen of the fashion world is in shock this morning. I have always liked his creative use of textures, the structure of his wedding dresses, and how he used his collection to make true statements about marriage and bridesmaid dresses (see Highland Rape collection of 1995). I wish I were rich enough to buy a pair of shoes or a handbag when he was still alive.
This year there are four new wedding dresses in the collection of Blanche. Not all of them are wearable, but I prefer the clothes of 2009 (see above).
I've just discovered the work of British designer Ian Stuart-bride. I'm totally in love with the style and level of details of the bride dresses.

While we're on the subject of international wedding dresses, I thought I was doing a little feature on the Indian wedding dresses. I've always loved the rich fabrics of traditional sari, but if you thought that the extensive and beautiful sari, you should look at India bridal gowns. Like the costume, they can be made from various materials cotton, satin, crepe, georgette, silk and other fine fabrics. Indian wedding dresses are usually red, but the bride can choose pretty much what color she wants.
They are not the traditional Indian and western wedding dress with luxurious Indian fabrics. Certainly not for brides who do not want to stand on their wedding day!
