As the most powerful woman on earth went down the aisle in a spotless white dress, she started a fashion trend. Like most fashion trends, she first caught on with the elite. It was not until World War II ended the tradition of white wedding finally caught up with the ordinary. What has changed? Like most fashion trends, products only catch fire if people can afford. Before the war, when the global economic crisis raged, the average American couple could not afford a white wedding.

But the increase in disposable income after the war years, more and more couples comprehensive wedding planning. This was both good and bad news for designers. On the positive side, was a regular wedding gown, which differentiates them work on a new style. It also limits what they can do with the dress. Because the rules were the traditional white wedding, but everything in stone most of the seamstresses were described by the basic design. As a result, they pretty much left alone for decades.

If we examine wedding styles from the fifties to the seventies and even eighties, we find that they can not change that much. One reason why this style has remained essentially unchanged, that most of the top wedding dress designer had specified. Then, suddenly, she returned to him.
